Hi Guys!!
I’ve done a few beauty pageants. I actually started out doing Miss Chin, Miss Swimsuit Canada, FAME fitness competitions, Australian Swimsuit Competition and a few other random competitions. Out of all of them the most prestigious ones was The Donald Trump Beauties of Canada and the The Miss Canada International Competitions where I was Miss Toronto 2006. These are great events to participate in simply because it teaches you stage presents and help young women build confidence. It’s amazing to be a woman and every woman should celebrate the beauty and the brains! The Miss Canada International competition tested our physical fitness, our personal interactions with others, and we even had a written test to test our knowledge on Canada. I found that to be the best competiton for young women. They have the Miss Teen Canada competion and the Ms Canada International Competition.
I stopped doing competitions because I found work to take over my schedule. But I may eventually get back into fitness competitions again since I do love training and eating healthy every day and it gives me something to aim for. I like to focus my attentions on positive goals which keep me in line and balanced and keep me striving into a good direction. I meet many positive people along the way and that’s what I love most about competitions. People aiming to be the best that they can be. I just love that!
Here is my official acting demo reel. Enjoy!
Visual Art is something that I’ve been doing since I was a little kindle blowing in the wind (KID). From the very first days in Kindergarden art class till now I still absolutely love visual art…painting to be exact. I like watercolours, acrylics and oils. I was born with one of those overly active artistic and creative brains which doesnt seem to ever want to stop being creative and so painting is just another outlet for me. I’ve sold a few of my paintings must mostly just give them to my friends and family members unless someone offers a high price for one. I sold one to a Canadian Senator only because he seemed to be someone who was quite influential and seemed to believe in me quite allot since I was Miss Toronto 2006 and we seemed to have something in common. Anyway. I paint mostly because I love it and not because I expect me make a fortune from painting..well at least not till I pass away. Every artist seems to make more dead than alive! Might as well leave a mark in this world the best you can! My best way is by expressing myself through my artistic ability and I’d say agility. I just can’t stop making art is so many different types of formats…songwriting painting singing acting voice and dance..the art of seduction is also my in my repetoir..I’ll admit that!
I was cast as Abigail Tunstall in Murdoch Mysteries directly through my agent. No auditions required simply because they people casting it new me from prior work that I’ve done with the Casting Directors and knowing the right people from working together time and again. They knew who I was, what my body type was, my hair, personality ect ect ect. They say it’s not what you know, it’s who you know and that was the case when they cast me In Murdoch Mysteries. I felt very blessed to get this work because it meant I had prop shots, and many days with Actor Rate pay. Believe me any actress feels blessed when she books a part where she gets actor pay. In this Television show I am dead the whole time in it! Playing dead is actually more difficult than playing alive. I have actually heard someone say that before and I will quote it again. This is Sima Fisher making a statement on playing dead “acting dead is more difficult that acting alive”! There that is my official statement on my official website! Take it or leave it!
Well It was great working on this film set because I’ll admit it the People were great to work with. You cannot say that about every film set believe me. They are high stress environments and sometimes you just get fucking shit on!! My friend was a little jealous because I got to work with Yannick Brisson and she is in Love with him! OH SNAP!! but I also thought it was a pleasure working with Helene Joy that beautiful Australian Princess..so cute and sweet and really very lovely! I run into allot of the same people on different sets in The Toronto Film industry and it gets to be quite a small world. The Toronto or Hollywood North film industry is quite a great industry to be a part of and I’m very thankful for every day that I get to be a part of it
Anyway a little about the actual story line of what happens to my charachter Abigail on Murdoch Mysteries. Well she was a little tramp and she would bribe politicians with compromising photos of themselves taken by her photographer. She was the “model” but the politicians obviously didn’t know the photos were being taken of them whilst they thought they were just getting “lucky”…well I won’t spoil the rest. You have to go watch Murdoch Mysteries to find out. Here’s the link people!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmGSrhfe7eU
The cotumes and music and just everything about this show is so well done!!
Doing photoshoots definitely is a form of Art. You almost have to make love to the camera and feel so sensual without looking gross or slutty. It’s an art form for the person front of the camera and an art form for the person behind the camera giving instruction. I’d say Gord Weber is one of those photographers that really knows what he is doing. His instructions are amazing and he is very professional. This shot was taking in the Dominican Republic along with many other photoshoots I did that week at the Paul Buceta Pool Party in December 2010.
Torn In Two is the only song that I’ve sung to date that I did not contribute to in the writing department. I allowed Simon Wilcox to do the writing and Peter Prilesnik to do the production. I find a lot of joy in songwriting and find it very difficult to sing cover tunes. I’d say I’m more of a songwriter than I am a singer and that’s why I found it difficult to take the back seat and allow another artist to write for me. Putting that thought aside, Simon Wilcox is such a beautiful soul that I was honoured to sing her song. I’m a pretty good songwriter and I need to be in control of that department. I only really will allow other amazing songwriters in to cowrite with. call me a snob if you want to but it’s not that. I’m just very deeply emotional and songwriting is extremly personal and it’s the only thing that I can really call “mine” when it comes to art. It’s intellectual propoerty as my lawyer would call it!
The Music video that went along with this song was produced by Mark Tytler. We have worked together on many Music Videos. I interviewed several videographers before I decided on Mark to be the one. Since that interview we have done over 10 videos ranging from promo videos to music videos. He’s my “go to guy” and I’d recommend him to anyone. He’s Da Bomb!
I can honestly say that I am the captain of my own ship when it comes to my carreer. I have had to be and will continue to do so because if you sit around and wait for things to happen…you will be sitting and waiting for a very long time. You have to prove yourself worthy to the people and believe in yourself enough to do what you love to do and have faith that it will be successful…success comes on many different levels..so be thankful for each level that you attain!
music video will be submitted to Much Music soon..to join my other music video that is already on the much Music website http://watch.muchmusic.com/artists-a-z/s/sima-fisher/
The Jungle Girl shoot!
This shoot was done in the Dominican Republic Jungle with Phtographers and Artists Andy Powell and Ryan Lindsay. We all met on the Paul Buceta’s Pool Party Trip. This trip was such an amazng time. My Room mate Ashly Marie and I did the battle in the Jungle…wouldnt know it by these photos but we actually got along so well as room mates and we were blessed to have eachother. She is such an amazing woman! We booked the trip together not knowing eachother before we left and only meeting at the starbucks in the airport just hours before the group of 70 or so of us all went on the Mega week long Photoshoots. This was only one of the 12 photoshoots that Idid during the 2010 pool party! It was such an amazing time that I actually got a little depressed when I came back to Toronto from being with such amazing people. I had huge withdrawl symptoms. Seriously I miss these people every day!

Fan Art By Julius Zimmerman
(Inspired by Death Warrior)
This art was sent to me Annonymously by an artist. I inquired to find out his name and he sent me a link to his website. I think he is absolutely amazing. What do you think of his art? Check out his site. His name is Julius Zimmerman. This is what his thoughts were about me in Death Warrior
“Death Warrior was an awesome, B-movie like fight film. I also like UFC, so that was part of the appeal.; I don’t remember any underwater stuff. Just stuff of you in the pool and being seductive as hell.Have you done any nude posing before or a similar shoot online somewhere? You have such an amazing figure.” Julius Zimmerman”
